Annex C / The founding terms

Refund & guarantee policy.

Plain-language summary: you see real work before you pay anything; there's no lock-in; a month where the engine starts zero conversations is free; your founding rate never rises; and if you leave, the work we made in your name goes with you. What we never sell is a meeting count — so we never refund against one.

1. The fit assessment is free

Every engagement starts with a fit assessment. It costs nothing, whatever the outcome — including if the outcome is us telling you not to hire us.

2. We build before you bill

If we accept your application, onboarding — voice capture, targeting, and your first drafted campaign — happens before your first invoice. You review the actual drafts, in your actual voice, aimed at your actual prospects. If they don't sound like you, you walk away owing nothing, and (with your permission) we'll tell you why we think the miss happened. Billing begins only when you approve the first campaign to go live.

3. The quiet-month clause

Any full calendar month of an active engagement in which the engine starts zero conversations is free: we credit that month in full against your next invoice, or refund it if the engagement is ending. A "conversation" means a substantive reply from an approved prospect to outreach sent through the engine (an auto-reply or bounce doesn't count; "not interested, but thanks" does — a working engine produces noes as well as yeses). The clause assumes the engine was allowed to run: it doesn't apply to months where sending was paused at your request or messages sat unapproved for most of the month.

4. Monthly billing, no lock-in

Fees are billed monthly in advance. Pause or cancel with 15 days' written notice, effective at the end of the current billing cycle. There are no minimum terms and no cancellation fees. Because each month's fee pays for that month's operation of the engine, months already delivered are not refundable except under the quiet-month clause above or where the law requires otherwise.

5. Founding rate, locked

Founding clients keep their joining rate for as long as their engagement runs continuously. Our list price will rise as our results are proven; yours will not.

6. Your assets leave with you

If you cancel, you keep everything created in your name during paid (or pre-billing) periods: prospect research, your voice guide, and every drafted message and post. We'll hand it over in a usable format within 15 days of the engagement ending.

7. What we do not offer

We do not sell, and therefore do not refund against, any promised number of connections, replies, meetings, or revenue. Anyone in this industry offering that guarantee without your baseline data is guessing. We'd rather carry the risks above — which are real — than sell you a fiction.

8. How to claim

Email hello@unboundcxo.com with the month and the clause you're claiming under. We reply within 5 business days, and we don't make you fight for it. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days.
